Justice Delayed is Justice Denied

The term written by great politician and former British Prime Minister Mr. William Ewart Gladstone in the mid of 18th century.
As we know that our problems are not external but domestic. We people of Pakistan having solemnly resolved to constitute Pakistan into sovereign, social, secular, Democratic Islamic
Republic, and to secure its all citizens - Justice, economic, religion and social values, but after 64 years we have endless laws but not enough justice.
One of the many problems that people of Pakistan faces in our judiciary system is Justice Denied. Most of the time cases linger on for years, even decades. We believe that courts are sign of piece, where people seek justice for their grievances, but in Pakistan situation is quit different. I thought that Pakistan Courts have become an icon of Justice., but our recent experience, and our current situation of courts forces me to change my opinion.
I have lot of real stories to explain here, I would highlight just general few of them. Number of people from different areas of capital reaches Police Station of log First Information Report(FIR) to seek justice, either they are denied or delayed; mostly it takes moths to register FIR, in this long duration every thing vanishes from evidence to witness. If a victim move application to SSP or other concerned higher Authorities, mostly they do not respond.
If a women want a divorce at the age of 45, she will get it at 50.
If a man want to meet his son, who is living with his wife after separation, our courts will take a year to decide the matter. Though the family cases are not too complicated.
Recently Sindh Assembly passed constitution for rights of individual women; that she have right to merry with whom she want, but this is again denied. Many girls and boys killed under rude culture of Sindh in Karro Karri cases. It is this delayed justice which keeps poor and illiterate people on the mercy of Waderas and Chodhries.
One hope that our judiciary looks into "Justice delayed is justice denied" matter but this is again political show, A show room to highlight irrelevant problems, just to keep public away from internal basic problems.
Justice delayed will not only be justice denied. I will also destroy the rule of law, a basic feature of once constitution.
